The KSG Armory Lexington on Springfield’s New 1911 DS Prodigy COA

When a respected name in the concealed carry world takes one of your holsters out for a spin, it means a lot — especially when they put it on a brand-new pistol nobody's had much time with yet. So a big thank-you is in order: USA Carry recently featured our Lexington IWB holster in their first look at Springfield Armory's new 1911 DS Prodigy 4.25″ COA, and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

A Holster They Weren't Sure Would Fit

Luke McCoy at USA Carry got his hands on the new double-stack Prodigy — the 1911 reworked around an 18+1 magazine and topped with the closed-emitter Aimpoint COA optic — and reached out about a holster. We sent over a Lexington cut for the double stack 1911, and we were honest with him: we hadn't tested it on the Prodigy specifically, so we couldn't promise it would drop right in.

It did. In his words, It fits perfectly. No modifications, good retention — the gun sitting exactly where it should. That's the report we always hope for, and hearing it from someone testing a configuration we hadn't validated ourselves made it even better.
