A Pistol Built Around Optics
Springfield engineered the Echelon from the ground up with red dots in mind. At the heart of that is the Variable Interface System (VIS) — and it's worth understanding why it matters for your holster choice.
Most optics-ready pistols lock you into a single footprint or force you to run an adapter plate. The Echelon's VIS does neither. It uses a set of self-locking pins that you configure to match your optic's footprint, mounting more than 30 popular red dots directly to the slide with no plate in between. Native support covers the three big standards — Trijicon RMR, Leupold DeltaPoint Pro, and the Springfield Micro / Shield RMS/SMS pattern.
The payoff is a lower, more stable mount. Your optic sits closer to the bore, co-witnessing with your irons gets easier, and you remove a failure point. It's a genuinely better way to run a dot.
It also means your holster has to keep up. A pistol that can wear almost any optic at almost any height needs a holster that clears all of it — not just one configuration.

The Trenton (OWB)
The Trenton is our outside-the-waistband concealment holster, designed by Dave Spaulding of Handgun Combatives and sold for years as the Enhanced Handgun Combatives EDC holster.
Traditional OWB rigs are bulky and built for duty. The Trenton is different. Its simple, effective design wraps to the shape of your body, pulling the gun in tight to minimize printing and maximize comfort under a shirt, vest, or coat — concealment-first OWB carry.
